How to find good friends in college?

I know a lot of kids here at my school, but I don't really hang out with anyone. They never seem to invite me places no matter how much I extend my friendship (i.e. writing on their Facebook wall, joking with them in class, ect.). I'm a little frustrated by this and I usually just end up staying in my dorm or at the library most days. Are people intimidated by me and I don't even know it? Is that why I'm never invited places, because I'm confident and that can be intimidating for people my age?





Do people just talk to me out of pity and think that I really don't like having fun just because I'm "the weird kid from Colorado"? The only reason I could think for them not to invite me to parties is because I don't drink...

hey brother, you are not doing anything wrong. people are funny creatures, and unpredictable. you need to focus on your schoolwork, as you are, and as lonely as that can be no doubt, and be the best you that you can be. you will attract the right kind of people this way that are suppose to come to pass. trust in god, believe and have faith in all, and people will gravitate to you shortly. i promise. i know. all the best, but then again, you dont need it. you already have it.
