Is it a legit reason to be denied permission to a college or university...?

Just because of something on your MyYearbook, Facebook, or MySpace profile?

Is it a legit reason to be denied permission to a college or university...?
Yes. It depends what is on there, of course, but if you appear to be a problem at the outset, they have every right not to admit you. If you made racist or sexist comments, or get a lot into excessive drinking or drugging, or imply violence or cheating behavior, then yes, they may very well want to deny you admission. Mind you, most schools don't have time to look at all of that stuff, but if someone tips them off to it, they could deny admission based on it.
Reply:What reason would they actually have for going through your personal life in the first place?

The only legit reason I can think of is if what ever they find is against the law or if you were a racist or snobby person, other than that, its really none of their business.
Reply:Yes. Almost anything can be a reason for a denial. Except race or Religion.
Reply:Yes, but chances are no admission councelor has time to check student's myspace pages.
