i wouldnt consider it normally but i go to a huge college and dont really have any other way to get into contact with her unless i bump into her randomly

Perhaps message her asking to talk to her at college, so you arrange a time to meet and then ask her out.
I think she would really like it if you had the guts to ask her in person.
