I saw a girl I was friends with in junior high on Facebook and she lives close. Should I add her?

I was friends with this girl in junior high and I sorta just quit talking to her because I was dumb and wanted to hang out with the bad crowd. I never like ended our friendship or told her I hated her, but we just stopped talking to each other. Well now I live away from home and just graduated from college and have a good head on my shoulders and want some equally good minded friends. I saw her on Facebook and she lives really close, should I try to add her or do you think she might still hate my guts for stopping being her friend 10 years ago? I feel bad that I abandoned my friends for a bunch of morons, but I'm not that person anymore. What do you think? She was a good friend back in the day.

I think you should, you could rekindle an old friendship, it seems you have nothing to lose. We all do things when we're younger that we may regret or feel bad about but this may be an opportunity for you to say sorry, you may find you have nothing in common but you could be the best of friends.
