Keeping it short to fit more info.





I’m 23, professional, own my own home. Been in a few long term relationships, most didn’t end well- (other women). BF is 18, college student, gas station attendant-working on getting license. Us- we have a TON of fun together and teach each other a lot. Intimacy is great and we can talk to each other about anything.





Problem- he still has contact with his exes via myspace and facebook. I normally wouldn’t mind…but they say things like “miss you” to him. And, “I heard this song on the radio and it reminded me of this time when we were together…” and since prom was only last year for him, his mom still has pics of his prom up at her house with his ex-girlfriend…awkward. I talk to my ONE ex from high school (none after high school) and its been 6 years since we dated. We are more like brother/sister than friends…is it wrong that I am bothered by my bf talking to his exes? Its not ALL the time, but it just irritates me.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. One thing you need to remember is that he is very young, and his past relationships were from HIGH SCHOOL. They probably didn't last more than a month or two, and couldn't have been that serious. As long as he is just talking to them, and that's all there is to it, there's not a real reason to be bothered. Also, you didn't really say what his response is to what they say. If they are just leaving comments, etc. then he doesn't have much control over that. If it's just comments, and he isn't even responding in any way, then you're really blowing it out of proportion.
Reply:no you re not acting like old fashioned bec its your feeling.first try to talk to him of what you re feeling about being close talking to his exes.if he cares about you re feelings he would limit his intimate talking to his exes and just put it to the limit with just a civil talks is allowed only.at least you know he is a good man because his exes have no ill feelings about him.But as i have said you have the right to react because saying i miss you to an ex is too much and you have the right to let him know that you re affected,meaning ,please stop doing that boy because its hurting me.
