Do most college kids come home for the summer?

I really like this girl thats going to a college thats 3 hours away from the one im going to. I'm not exactly putting my life on hold for her. Im looking at other girls..its just i really lik her, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to keep talking to her on AIM or facebook, and meet up with her if she comes back to our high school town over the summer

Um, alot of university students around where I live do come home for the summer as residences are closed between April and August, but if they are living in an apartment they tent to opt towards staying put as housing is expensive and extremely hard to find around here. I would definitely keep in contact with her, and if you feel the time is right, tell her how you feel.
