Is it ok that I send her a gift on facebook?

I have only talked to her a few times. We go to the same college together, she is currently in a relationship. Is it ok that I send her a cup cake on facebook for her birthday? Is that a clear sign to her that I like her/good thing?

On a birthday, anything goes. Normally i'd recommend avoiding facebook, myspace, instant messenger, or texts and just call them, but if they're in a relationship, i'd probably suggest not doing that..... yet.

Anyway, I think the point you were getting at is whether or not she'll twig that you like her, and is it ok? Well, this is actually an ideal situation because birthday's do allow a certain degree of otherwise unusual interaction, and a cupcake could be seen as nothing more than a king gesture that you might do for anyone on a birthday. Therefore, if she's not interested, she'll pay it little attention, and if her boyfriend gets pissed, you can claim it meaningless. However, if she is in the remote bit interested (and being in a relationship while in college is basically meaningless in that respect) then she'll read into that positively, and you could be in luck. The birthday really is a perfect guise for interpretation and defense if the feelings are not recipricated.

So, yes! There's no reason why not to. She'll more than likely receieve loads of messages for her birthday, but she might only reply to a few.
Reply:Well it definitely shows that you put more effort into it, rather then just saying happy birthday, or nothing at all. So, yeah, I think that sending the cupcake id an okay idea. nothing too flirty, but it's just somthing saying that you're thinking of her :)
Reply:I don't see why it should be a problem, its just a gesture of you saying happy birthday to her! Besides you can send those privately too!
Reply:Sure. Just make it a private gift so that if she doesn't want her boyfriend to see who it's from he won't find out. She can just say it's from one of her friends.
Reply:no, it's just saying that u no that it's her birthday. i mean i send cupcakes to everyone's birthday, including the opposite sex.
