I am addicted to internet - email, messengers, facebook, forums etc... how do i fix that?
Don't worry about it. Really...

Many people spend long stretches of time on the internet (the web). They haven't turned into dust or disappeared - they've merely begun to form relationships with other people using this new medium.

Before the web, telephone chat lines, where groups of strangers would call and talk to one another (and pay $!) was a popular trend. So was mailing strangers and forming pen pals, long ago. People spent a hell of a lot of time in those hobbies. So, the internet is just another phase of the electronic means to foster communication. Use it as much as you like.

However, like many people have found out - sharing on the web is fun, but keep it varied. Try going to coffee shops and using their machines (when you're feeling well). Or, invite people over to your room to have a LAN party, with some games to choose from. Anything to vary the scene a bit.

If you're going to spend so much time online, try to realize that all that time you're using up is finite. Your life will not give you that day, those years, and your time back. So, if you blow your early 20's farting around online, someday you may regret it.

At times when I was young, I was bed-bound for months at a time. I learned to speed read, sketch, write stories, and program computers. Today, I make a good living with the programming, and still stay creative other ways. You can use the forced-focus you have being sick to explore a lot about yourself - don't poo-poo non-computer things like books until you have walked the full mile in them.
Reply:Fill in the extra computer time you use and do volunteer work, get a part-time job, or do whatever, even watch TV!!
Reply:well set the computer aside for awile. don't pay for internet. delete myspace and other accounts. it isn't really a physical addiction only mental or probably in your case emotions try getting a girlfriend. go out more often hang out with friends occupy your time with something else
Reply:Turn off the computer and find other ways to enjoy life.
Reply:Ha! Wish I knew. I am also an addict. I try to get outside more and make a point of walking the dog but I love email and shopping and so forth

My husband is an addict to internet too we have side by side computers - don't laugh
Reply:Simply fill you life with other activity. Work out or something.. Heck, Have sex. It's a great workout.
Reply:Get yourself a sweetheart. Gay? Straight? Whatever you're into! Then you'll have better things to do than be on the computer all the time.

You sound content with staying on the internet, and there's even a site where you can just pop virtual bubble wrap! (No kidding - you can look up bubble wrap on the web and click your mouse to pop it!)
Reply:get a really uncomfortable chair...
Reply:NEVER TOUCH THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD!!!!! RUN AWAY FROM THEM LIKE A SISSY!
